Jingle All the Way!

Jingle All the Way!

It seems crazy that stores already have Christmas trees and music taking over when we haven’t even had Thanksgiving yet! Everyone knows that Christmas decorating starts the day after our massive feast. So if you agree that Christmas seems to be coming a little sooner this year and want to wait until after Thanksgiving to start the countdown, then you aren’t alone! Come join the rest of us downtown for the Holiday Sing-Along & Downtown Stroll December 3!

By the time the 3rd rolls around it will hopefully beginning to look a lot like Christmas, or at least feel like it! This event starts off on the beautiful Austin Capitol grounds which will be filled with carolers and kids sledding down the snowless hills. Yes you heard right, sledding. In case you weren’t aware, we don’t need any snow to sled because it’s just as fun without it!

Once the caroling ends, the Christmas tree in front of the Capitol will be lit for all of Austin to enjoy. Then be sure and stroll on down to Congress Ave for some music, arts, and even a special holiday farmer’s market.

Granted this may not compare to the massive Christmas tree lighting in New York City and the mounds of snow i’m sure they’ll have, but who honestly wants to freeze in the snow?! I’d much rather be warm and sledding down a hill full of grass than be shaking in my boots!

Be sure and check out the website and their gallery to get a better idea of what you’re getting into this Holiday season!
